New Texas House and Senate Maps Adopted | The Texas Legislative Redistricting Board has adopted new maps for state elections for the next ten years for the state House and Senate districts. The reapportionment occurs after the results of the Census become available. In addition, under the Texas Constitution every ten years the State Board of Education and the U.S. Congressional districts must be reapportioned. As of this date the latter two have yet to be announced.
